The conceptual photo on the Home page is not an actual design of the Mount Zion ministry. The photo merely portrays the concept of what is envisaged.
The intention is to include the following structures & buildings in the completed project.
GATED AND FENCED STAFF AREA RESERVED FOR STAFF:
This area will consist of:
GATED AND FENCED AREA FOR PUBLIC ACCESS:
This area will consist of:
As the intention is to build many such centres around the world, the location will depend on the following:
No doubt there are many other considerations but these will have to be negotiated with the relevant authorities.
The intention is to build as much of the project in-
We believe that God will send sufficient skilled workers just as He did when Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem.
We are conducting a thorough research of what types of modular buildings are available in today’s market and whether such building would suit our purposes.
Where possible, we will use modular buildings that are properly insulated, wired, plumbed and sanitised. An important element of this will be to use modules that can be expanded. For example, if we are building staff or guest accommodation some will consist of a single bedroom whereas others will need to have multiple bedrooms etc.
It is our intention to be as self reliant as possible. In other words, we intend to have our own water, our own electricity and power and our own sewerage facility.
Many 3rd World countries have regular power cuts and officials working for State Utility companies are often corrupt.
Power will be provided either through solar panels or through large wind turbines imported from China.
Staff will reside in the Residential village in a fenced, gated and secure environment. An important feature of the staff facilities is that there will be no hierarchical accommodation. All housing will be of a similar design, although the number of bedrooms will vary, depending on the size of the family.
Similar accommodation will be provided for guests and visitors but this will be in a separated fenced, gated and secure area close to the training college.
PRAYER AND COMMUNAL WORSHIP
The Community Centre will be the central meeting place where staff and visitors can meet together for prayer, worship and other engagements.
We encourage everyone to fellowship in homes for the sharing of meals, for the celebration of feasts and for prayer and ministry.
The ministry will not build a church on any of its properties as we desire to emulate the New Testament church who met in homes.
Naturally, there will be various outreaches to local communities and beyond but these will be all encompassing. E.g. they will incorporate:
MINISTRY TO LOCAL COMMUNITY
The ministry to the local population will depend largely on the needs of the community at large. The following ministries are under consideration:
POOR AND NEEDY
12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,
16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
Offer national and international training to ‘saints’ around the world so that they can also ‘equip the saints for the work of ministry’ in their own localities.’
We take the view that equipping the saints is not limited to religious study but should encompass practical training in all spheres of life.
When governments introduce laws that are in direct violation of biblical teaching, people start to do what is stated in:
Judges 21:25 (NIV)
Back in those days, Israel didn't yet have a king, so each person did whatever seemed right in his own opinion.
Matthew Chapter 10 puts it this way
10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”
11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
13 This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: “‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’
